Our Story - The Inspiration Behind

Impact Aid

Each year, over 600,000 individuals make the difficult transition from prison back into their communities. Sustainable employment is critical to a successful transition. But formerly incarcerated job seekers face a myriad of obstacles when looking for employment — social stigma, unstable housing, unreliable transportation, and the requirements of their probation or parole. The result is unemployment, homelessness, and, in many cases, rearrest. Impact Aid provides immediate, effective, and comprehensive services to justice-impacted individuals to train, employ, and transform them, their families, and their communities.

That’s why Impact Aid was founded — to close the gap between untapped potential and real opportunity. We saw firsthand how many returning citizens were ready to rebuild but met with closed doors at every turn. We knew the system had to change — and we set out to become part of that change.

Instead of offering hope alone, we built a real pathway forward. By partnering with employers, offering industry-aligned training, and providing hands-on mentorship, we help individuals turn their second chance into lasting success — for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Impact Aid helps justice-impacted individuals rebuild stable, successful careers through training, mentorship, and strategic employer partnerships.

Impact Aid prepares individuals for high-demand careers and connects businesses with motivated, subsidized talent.

We value second chances, dignity through work, and breaking the stigma. Everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild and contribute.

A Hand Up, Not a Handout

Impact Aid believes everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their lives. We provide tailored training, job placements, and ongoing mentorship for formerly incarcerated professionals with nonviolent, white-collar backgrounds.

Trust.

We start by building real relationships — rooted in respect, not judgment. Our candidates are more than their past. We earn their trust, and we teach them to trust themselves again.

  • We build relationships based on honesty, dignity, and mutual respect.
  • Candidates are screened, supported, and seen for their potential — not their past.
  • Trust is the foundation that drives lasting change and successful reintegration.

Train.

Every participant receives hands-on, career-focused training tailored to industries that need skilled talent now. We pair this with mentorship and personal development that prepares them for the real world — and real success.

  • Industry-aligned training programs tailored to real workforce needs.
  • Mentorship and coaching to build confidence, soft skills, and leadership.
  • Practical, hands-on experience to prepare candidates for mid-level careers.

Transform.

When trust and training come together, lives change. Participants step into meaningful careers. Employers gain loyal, hardworking team members. Communities grow stronger. That’s transformation in action.

  • Career placement that leads to long-term employment and stability.
  • Businesses gain reliable, motivated talent — and drive social change.
  • Lives, families, and communities are strengthened through opportunity.
